Sisters Part 2

Hi Everyone,

I hope you enjoyed part one of our Sisters Oregon trip here are some more pictures to tease you with. This group of quilts were all made by a book club. This past year they read the original Peter Pan and Wendy by J.M. Barrie. They then decided to make stunning quilts inspired by scenes from the book. I can't even begin to tell you how totally incredible these quilts were. The quilt below had to be at least 50" x 60" all machine appliqued, thread painted and quilted. You could have stood there all day and not scene all the details.

Don't you love when Peter gives Wendy a "kiss" aka thimble. Look at the quilting in the background....incredible!

This is the Mermaid scene from the book, again absolutely stunning. The hours of work that went into these projects, I can't even begin to imagine.

Close up of the quilting on the Mermaids.

Do you feel like you have been to Neverland..."second star to the right and straight on till morning."

Looks like we need a part 3 to our Sisters Show and Tell.

Sister's Oregon ...The Worlds Largest Outdoor Quilt Show

Hi Everyone,

We had such a great trip to Sister's Oregon. If you have never been you really need to add it to your bucket list. It is always so incredible. Each year there are so many quilts to be inspired by. I won't go on to much about it, I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!

My summer adventures

Hi everyone;

Well it sure has been a while since I have done a post. Hope you are all well and enjoying your summer! The last few months have just been a blur, all good things but just busy. Lets just say the months have flown by.

In May my sister and I went to Disneyland for a few days over my birthday, we had a great time. The weather was great compared to spring in Victoria.

Tigger is such a ham.....he's one of my favs!
Chip or Dale... I can never get them straight!
Captain hook always a riot!
We had such a good trip, great memories with my sister. Life is good!

For my final Quilt Club in June I made a fresh summer quilt. It is hard to believe in about a month we'll be seeing each other again.

The last couple of days I have been weeding out some of my fabric, patterns and books for a garage sale we are having this weekend. The garage sale will be in The Cloth Castle parking lot, starting at 8am on Sunday. I plan on being there for about 4 hours... we'll see how things go.

Also if anyone is looking for a gift for a gamer in your family my sister is selling Wii Rock band with Guitar hero and 7 games, was over $800 she is selling for $150. You can email her at theroguequilter@gmail.com if you would like further info. My sister has taken really good and has barley used it.... good gift for family Christmas gift; just putting it out there!

Well I have plans to show you pictures from our Sister's Oregon trip over the week so keep you posted!
