Take a trip with me.....

Hi Everyone

Well my sister and I have been having fun in Portland, Oregon. We are actually here for Quilt Market but came down a couple days early. What a great city to visit, never a dull moment.

Through the Quilt Market organization we actually did a Shop Hop today which was so much fun.  My sister and I took lots of pictures so here we go......enjoy!

First Stop. The Pine Needle in Lake Oswego

Sister's having fun!

Packing away loot!

Next Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe and Mercantile, West Linn Oregon

Oh my goodness this is a place to see! My favorite shop for sure.

We also visited Greenbaum's Quilted Forest an The Speckled Hen. Our last stop was an Antique Mall with treasures around every corner. It was very crowed though as three bus loads all stopped there at the same time! I had to get out before I lost my mind. Too bad because it was a really neat place. If you are ever in the Portland area check it out Monticello Antique Marketplace.

Stop by during the next couple of days and I will show what we have been doing at Market. Have a fabulous week....I know I will be.

Fun with Jelly Rolls

We had a great class at the store yesterday making 1600" quilts. This is such a fun and quick quilt to make. 1 jelly roll and a couple of hours and quilt top is done. I snapped some quick pictures of new jelly roll collections. The only problem I have with this quilt class is that I love all the colours and then want to make one of each!

It's beginning to look like Christmas....

Hi Everyone

We just received a great new Christmas Collection from Northcott. It is better to show you than describe.
This is Starry Night and yes those are LED lights!

This is a really quick project to make and we have the kits ready now! The wiring for the lights is on the back and by making small buttonholes you can just pop the lights through. There is no heat from the LED lights and being battery operated there are no extra cords hanging around.

I am planning a whole month of Christmas projects in July so if you would like to take a class to make this project I have two dates available. Saturday July 6, 9:30am-12:30pm or Wednesday July 17  9:30am-12:30pm. Just call the Cloth Castle at 250-478-2112 to get registered! We have a limited amount of kits so don't delay and get yours today!
