Paris

Hi Everyone

Once a month I get together with a group of Husqvarna Embroidery Machine owners and we make a little project. It is so much fun for me, as I get to try new things too. I also love how excited the ladies get when they go home with a really neat project. This month we are taking a little trip to Paris (well not really but we can dream!).
Urban Threads, a great place to get embroidery designs, had a new pack out recently called Parisian Love Letter( Urban Threads ) I just love this collection. The neat thing is that you can take as many designs as you like and create a "postcard" pillow. It turned out so nice.

I also have done the individual designs on a jacket for Sylvia (the boss) too. Sylvia found a great jacket at the Second Hand store and we jazzed it up, it looks great. Have a great day.

Monsters in training

Hi Everyone

We have been having so much fun making stuffed, quilting and knitted monsters. It all started with Rebecca our knitting teacher.

Rebecca came to us with the idea to knit the cutest little monster balls and it just kept growing from there. Rebecca will be teaching these little guys this summer!

10 Minute Quilt block

Hi Everyone

Have you tried the 10 minute quilt block from Suzanne McNeil. Oh my goodness what fun and so easy too.
This block is great when made from both charm squares or layer cakes. I have also made the quilt with an 8" blocks. Great for a scrap quilt or charity quilt. The skies the limit.
This technique is also the one I used on my last Mothers Day Tea a couple of weeks ago. As you will see from the photos any combination of fabric works well. I have included the demo at the bottom of this post from YouTube, enjoy!

Have fun trying out this block it really if fun and easy to make.
